 George Cross for England’s World Cup Squad 

Employees at Midlands manufacturing company George Utz are really getting into the spirit of the World Cup and have specially produced some of their standard stack containers called RAKO in red and white to display the George Cross on the roof of their factory at Clover Nook Industrial Estate in Alfreton, Derbyshire.


Marking the World Cup celebrations, the tribute to our National team measures 6m wide by 4m tall, and can be seen for miles around.  It is made up of over 200 high quality plastic stacking boxes.

  GEORGE UTZ INVESTS IN NEW STORAGE FACILITIES 

 Midlands based material handling equipment manufacturer George Utz Limited has invested substantially in additional storage facilities at its site at Clover Nook Industrial Estate, Alfreton, with the construction of four new silos holding a total of 800 tonnes of bulk raw material (plastic polymers)  


Swisslog wins major order from HARIBO 

HARIBO, the world market leader in the jelly sweets and liquorice sector, has commissioned Swisslog to provide turnkey delivery of a new automated high bay warehouse system for finished goods, raw materials and supplies. 


Autotech invests in unique robot simulation service.

The Luton-based company has purchased Tecnomatix Robcad software to provide a comprehensive service that will prove robot solutions fully before delivery to site. Autotech, which has specialist ex- pertise in control solutions for the automotive and logistics sectors, is already a Solution Partner with Siemens, which supplies the Technomatix Robcad software, and Autotech will be the only controls company in the UK able to provide this simulation service

Swisslog’s light goods conveyor system QuickMove is based on a set of standard elements and modules and provides reliable handling for a large variety of transport units up to 120 kg. Focus industries for the solution are retail, food & beverage and pharmaceuticals. QuickMove stands out due to the optimized combination of mechanics and controls, resulting in high performance and simplified implementation. In need of a new paint job for his Ducati 600SS (583) Code Zero Race Team member Dean Russell approached Newland Conveyors.  Happy to oblige, Lynn Kerfoot, Managing Director arranged for Dean’s bike to receive a top quality ‘make-over’ in their purpose built spray booth, which is usually used to spray Newland’s range of vehicle loading conveyors
