VITRONIC, the globally operating technology leader in machine vision for traffic, tolling, and automation, today announced the acquisition of the ASE portfolio as part of an asset deal. The acquired portfolio comprises technologically leading OCR gate solutions for both rail and road traffic applications.
With this acquisition, VITRONIC creates the first fully integrated, end-to-end access solution covering all modes of transport across the entire logistics value chain. At the same time, the company further expands its global Freight Traffic business. The strategic focus on a sustainable, digital future remains at the core of this development.
Daniel Scholz-Stein, CEO of the VITRONIC Group, commented:
“With the ASE assets, we are not only expanding our portfolio for our international customers, but also creating a future-ready, end-to-end offering. Together with the highly experienced ASE team, we plan to develop solutions that combine innovation, reliability, and sustainability — for customers around the world.”
Eric Steck, Managing Director of ASE, added:
“Becoming part of the VITRONIC Group opens new horizons — for our customers, our employees, and our technology. Together, we aim to shape the future of gating solutions with reliability and long-term vision.”
Going forward, ASE GmbH’s solutions will be offered under the brand VITRONIC – Freight Traffic. For existing ASE customers, this step means an expanded service and solutions portfolio through the integration into the VITRONIC Group, while all current contracts, contacts, and ongoing projects will continue unchanged — maintaining the high-quality standards customers expect.
As a result, ASE customers benefit from VITRONIC’s global presence and more than 40 years of cross-industry expertise, while ASE’s proven technological excellence and reliability remain fully intact.
