Sortation Systems

There are many variations of sortation systems available in the market place. These systems are designed to be a fully automated integrated element of the distribution or fulfilment centre. Capable of automatically diverting goods and unit loads to other conveyors, chutes and lifts these clever material handling systems relieve the need for labour intensive handling around the warehouse. The systems maintain the speed of the supply chain by delivering goods to all locations including goods receipt and put away, pick faces, replenishment, consolidation, palletising and finally to goods shipping areas.

Sortation systems are even capable of enabling a contribution to the auditing function ensuring that stock control is managed precisely.

Systems types include bomb bay door, linear sorters, cross belt, circular, divert and hanging garment. AMHSA members share a wealth of experience and expertise in this field.
