AMHSA make initial donation.
Last year AMHSA members elected Mike Burke to the position of Association President. One of the honours of the position is to select a charity that the association will support during this tenure. Mike chose Parkinson’s UK, who’s vision is to “Find a cure and improve life for everybody affected by Parkinson’s”.
The pandemic seriously hampered the ability to hold “in person” events for many organisations which, undoubtedly, hindered the ability to raise funds, as easily as we were all used to, for long periods. However, through some of the “in person” events, held last year, and smaller collections at the Harborough Innovation Centre, AMHSA H.Q., the association were really pleased to be able to hand over an initial donation recently of £911.39 to this very worthy cause.
Katie Thomas, Regional Fundraiser (East Midlands), was extremely grateful for the donation saying “we are always pleased to receive any donation and want to thank AMHSA for their generosity and commitment to future fundraising, we look forward to continuing to work with the organisation”.
AMHSA will continue to hold events throughout the year engaging with members and offering further support and, hopefully, more financial donations to Parkinson’s UK.
