The Automated Material Handling Systems Association (AMHSA) is lending its support to IWLEX 2023, the brand-new exhibition for the intralogistics sector.

Taking place at Telford International Centre in the West Midlands on 23 and 24 May next year, IWLEX (Inside Warehouse and Logistics Exhibition) has already been endorsed by associations including UKWA, RTITB and the Institute of Couriers.

“The team behind this new B2B event has considerable logistics industry expertise,” says Dave Berridge, Secretary of AMHSA, “and gives us confidence that this exhibition will deliver benefits for exhibitors and visitors alike.”

The IWLEX 2023 team is aiming to attract over 100 exhibitors and more than 2000 pre-qualified visitors in what it sees as a fresh and inclusive marketplace. “We are keen to work with industry bodies such as AMHSA,” explains Nairn Foster, Managing Director of IWLEX, “to create an event that works for everyone – hence our strapline, Shaped by the industry, for the industry.”

Central location

As well as end users, IWLEX is inviting consultants and system integrators to visit the show. In addition, exhibitors will be able to invite guests on a ‘golden ticket’ principle. With free parking and excellent rail services, the centrally located venue in Telford can be easily accessed by a wide audience.

Free conference programme

The show also features a free, two-day conference with a number of keynote C-suite speakers. Being organised by Paul Brooks FCILT, formerly Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), the conference will have two streams in which visitors can learn about current best practice and new innovations. One stream will focus on real-life case studies, while the other will present robotics and automation technologies.

“We want to create a year-round network of intralogistics expertise that people can tap into,” explains Nairn Foster. “To this end, we are structuring our activities around six core pillars – Innovation, Commerce, Inclusivity, Sustainability, Community and Wellbeing – and also trying to raise awareness around mental health in order to help the sector to thrive both professionally and personally.”
