Order Picking Systems

Sortation Systems – an integrated material handling conveyor system that automatically diverts product to a conveyor or chute for delivery to other areas of the DC including put-away, consolidation, replenishment, picking, audit and outbound shipments. There are several types of sortation systems. Throughput will determine the type to employ in various applications but they include

High Throughput (70-200 PPM) – Sliding Shoe, Tilt Tray or Cross Belt Sorters and 30º Narrow Belt

Medium Throughput (20-60 PPM) – 24 Volt Direct Current, pivot wheel and pop-up wheel sorters (multi directional)

Low Throughput (upto 20 PPM) – 90º Transfer sorter and pusher and swing arm sorters
